So what is a drum light kit? Noticing a lack of cool lighting options for drummers, we set out to design our own. Normal lighting for drummers include lights that either always on like spotlights, or sometimes they have a lightman that manually changes the lights periodically during a song or solo. But we have a much better and cooler option!
The drum light kits actually go INSIDE of your drums, making them glow with colors of your choice. But not only that, the lighting kit is an impact system that only lights up when you actually strike the drum with a stick! So you have your very own light show that matches up 100% with your beat.
Simply attach the sensor to the inside of the drum as included instructions say, and screw in a light bulb, plug in the system, and you're ready to go! Runs off of standard 110v outlets. Use 60watt filament type bulbs of any color for best results. These bulbs will NOT burn out from vibration, nor produce enough heat to cause any damage.
Simply run the included wiring through the hole on the side of the drum and plug it in! This is the same hole that is used for mics, etc, on the side of each drum. These lights will produce a great deal of light through clear or white heads only. Black drum heads will block most light from being seen by your audience. For use on the toms, isolator mounts or seperate stands are recommended due to excessive vibrations that travel from the bass drum, through the hardware, and into the toms. This can cause these lights to slightly flicker with heavy bass drum use. This does not apply to any other seperate drums such as the floor tom, snare drum, etc.
